WHAT ARE THE EVOLOOPTION™ MAILERS MADE OF, AND HOW DO I DISPOSE OF THE BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSTABLE BAGS?
Our mailer bags are biodegradable and compostable and do not contain any polyethylene – a toxic substance found in most poly mailers. Our poly mailers are made from bio resins and polymers. These are compounded with natural starches and are printed with non-toxic ink. All of our compostable packaging is made from non-GMO corn starch, and certified to EN13432, AS4736 and AS5810 industrial standards.

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN FOR THE AVERAGE CONSUMER?
Our bags can be composted at home or industrially, turning waste into useful organic matter. We encourage all of our clients to consider our compostable packaging over traditional plastics.

ARE YOUR COMPOSTABLE BAGS CERTIFIED?

DO COMPOSTABLE BAGS BREAK DOWN?
Yes they do in as little as 3-6 months! However, they do require aerobic composting conditions to break down.

HOW DO YOU COMPOST COMPOSTABLE BAGS?
You can compost compostable bags in a compost pile/tumbler, a worm farm or bokashi system. You can also bury them directly into a veggie patch.

CAN COMPOSTABLE BAGS GO IN THE ‘GREEN BIN’?
It is best to check with your local council/municipality to see if you can dispose compostable bags in the organics bin.

CAN COMPOSTABLE BAGS GO TO LANDFILL?
We do not encourage disposing compostable bags in landfill as they do not provide ideal composting conditions for the bags to degrade.

DO COMPOSTABLE BAGS HAVE A SHELF LIFE?
Yes, compostable bags have an 8-10 month shelf life. You can still use them after this time but it may lose some of its strength. Best to store in a dark, cool, dry place. They are made to degrade remember!

WHAT IS A WATER SOLUBLE BAG?
A water soluble bag is one that dissolves in water at a given temperature. This can be cold, warm or hot water.

AT WHAT TEMPERATURES DO THE BAGS DISSOLVE?
Our hot water bags dissolve at 70°C and warm water at 40°C.
It combats both landfill and ocean waste, with an easy method of disposal.

ARE WATER SOLUBLE BAGS SAFE?
Our water soluble bags are marine safe and non-toxic when fully dissolved in hot water. Made from PVOH (polyvinyl alcohol).
When dissolved, the bags are inherently non- toxic and safe for marine life.
The bags are made from polyvinyl alcohol that is commonly used in medicine and food. It is not toxic when dissolved.

HOW DO I DISPOSE OF THE WATER SOLUBLE BAGS?
Simply place them in a sink, and dissolve them in hot water. If the bags are used for laundry applications, use a hot water cycle to ensure they dissolve completely, ensuring they run a full cycle. NB: Do not use an ‘eco’ or ‘water saving’ cycle as this may prevent the bags from fully dissolving.

WHAT ARE THE WATER SOLUBLE BAGS MADE OF?
Our water soluble bags made of a patented blend of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) called Hydropol TM . This special blend of PVOH provides a superior clarity and strength to our Hydraloop TM bags.

HOW DO YOU USE THE WATER SOLUBLE BAGS?
Our water soluble bags are used in a variety of ways; safely transporting contaminated medical equipment, as fashion garment bags or shopping bags to name a few.
